Photography has been such a huge part of my life, it started when I was that awkward kid in High School with braces wanting to take pictures or show pictures to my friends, you know like Peter Parker from Spider Man, only I never got any super human powers. I started my journey as a hobbyist just like so many people out there. I quickly feel in love with photography and I wanted to become a professional photographer. I decided the best three ways to learn about photography was to; get a formal commercial photography degree, work under well established photographers, and take pictures everyday.
I learned most of my photography techniques by listening to other photographers and then trying to apply everything to my style. You can learn and get inspired from a book or a website but my only way to know how it works is to go try it. Not everything works but it’s the actual trial and error, emphasis on error, that makes you a better photographer. You may love some ideas and hate others but this is how you mold and develop you own creative style.
I currently own and operate a highly sought after all inclusive wedding and events company that provides photography, videography and disc jockey services. On average we are involved with 90 wedding per year. Doing this many wedding a year requires a good knowledge of photography technique and post production work flow.
